Another week, another round of inthemix50 Club Tour dates to start looking forward to. The weekend just gone saw no shortage of party options, with our local luminaries taking centre stage. In Melbourne, the dexterous Phil K headed a cast of the city’s top jocks at Darkbeat, Ajax got busy at Sydney’s Chinese Laundry and The Stafford Brothers were greeted by a glammed-up and party-hardy dancefloor on the Gold Coast.
This Saturday night, there’s plenty more to keep you on your toes. Sydney’s Plantation is hosting Detroit dynamo Shaun Reeves, a man whose releases on Wolf + Lamb and Crosstown Rebels boast a distinctive depth and character. He’ll be playing a four-hour set, something he’s had a lot of practice at since relocating to Berlin alongside hometown buddies Lee Curtiss and Seth Troxler.
Trance lovers in Melbourne can converge on Room 680 for Majik Saturdays, with scene veterans Papa Smurf and Steve Strangis leading an all-local line-up. Meanwhile, Brisbane man-about-town Nick Galea checks in at the Met and clubbers in Newcastle get a headline set from Sydney beats whiz Wax Motif. Make sure to RSVP at the links below to be part of the party.
Keep an eye out for our inthemix photographers at all remaining dates of the tour as well, because they’ll have special cards to hand out to everyone they shoot a picture of. The cards have info about an exclusive competition we’re running with inthemix50 category sponsor Sony Ericsson where you could win one of their new Xperia X10 mini or Xperia X10 mini pro mobile phones. You gotta be in it to win it!
