It was just earlier this month that fans of seminal hip-hop squad A Tribe Called Quest were treated to what seemed like a once in a lifetime tour from the group, with the trio’s first ever Australian shows in Melbourne and Sydney going down as instantly classic gigs.

While ATCQ diehards in other cities might’ve missed out on those shows, there’s at last some good news to wash that envy-green skin tone away with news arriving today that fans would be seeing more of Tribe very soon as longtime members Phife Dawg and Ali Saheed Muhumad will return to Australian turf for a string of shows this summer.

Returning to Australia after the thundering response to this month’s tour, Phife D and Ali will bring a reworked live show to Australia, focusing on their dual solo careers as well as classic A Tribe Called Quest material. What’s even better is the news that they’ll be bringing some unannounced guests from the Native Tongues label with them too making the tour that much more special.
