ITM trainspotters might remember that last year we ran some news announcing that Queensland’s favourite pair of club brothers The Stafford Brothers would be invading your living room as well as your weekends, with plans brewing to produce a reality TV show profiling the lads and their adventures around the clubbing world.

Though we hadn’t heard much on the project since then, today The Stafford Brothers themselves dropped inthemix the word that it was indeed happening and that we could expect to see The Stafford Brothers – as the show’s named – on payTV channel Fox8 very soon.

According to Matt Stafford of the brotherly collective, The Stafford Brothers will follow the high flying DJs as they hit the road for DJ dates, produce and run their Platinum club up Queensland, offering viewers an insider’s eye into the “real” life of DJs.

“[It] shows people what it’s really like on the roads as DJs and producers and everything that comes with it,” Stafford told inthemix. “Travel, family, relationships, working with other DJ’s and management, performing overseas, delays, excess baggage, hangovers, dealing with hangovers, running Platinum nightclub and Lil’ Sister back in Australia. Basically everything that comes with what we do.”

While the greater details of the Staffords’ reality show are still being kept mum at the behest of the network, the DJ pair were able to give inthemix a few juicy nuggets of info as to what fans can expect of the series, including a trip over to Ibiza, some of loose parties that the duo are renowned for and episodes that are said to feature The Stafford Brothers alongside a slew of other big names in the dance scene like Axwell, Fedde Le Grand and even the mighty Roger Sanchez.

“We hope to take Aussie viewers behind the scenes of places they might never experience in their own lives, or might want to know about,” Stafford explained. “We are obviously there doing it and hope people will be blown away by things that always manages to blow us away.”

Will our prayers for an Australian version of Jersey Shore at last come to life? We’ll have to wait and see, but it does sounds pretty cool to see the Staffords get some prime-time spotlight. “Unlike Jersey Shore we don’t fake tan!”
