Having already taken Tiesto to South Africa this year, Smirnoff has announced details of its next party project. The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project involves 14 countries sharing the best elements of their after-dark culture for one night only.
Via a hub on Facebook.com/SmirnoffAustralia, people are invited to make suggestions for what represents the best of their local nightlife. Then those ideas are packed into a ‘crate’ and exported to another of the participating countries for the finale on 27 November.
Ksubi co-founder and man-about-town Dan Single has been chosen to curate Australia’s ‘crate’, hand-picking favourites from the nominations alongside his own choices. The contents of Australia’s crate will be revealed on October 21 at a send-off party in Sydney. The other destinations taking part are USA, UK, Argentina, Venezuela, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland, Lebanon, Poland, South Africa and Thailand – and we’ll get one of their night-lives on 27 November.
