Last night inthemix took the Parklife circus sideshow to one lucky competition winner’s house. In the wash-up from the madness today it seems it was truly a house party for the history books, with a rather large contingent of artists from the Parklife tour also tagging along to partake in the shenanigans.
The house party was hosted by Dominic of Potts Point, and he managed to squeeze well over 50 people into his Potts Point apartment for the mid-week soiree. With Sinden, Brodinski and AC Slater all locked in to appear, extras who also came along to join in the fun included Busy P, DJ Mehdi and Jack Beats, and you can now check out ITM’s photo gallery of the madness right here.
Speaking with Dominic today we asked him to let us know a few of the highlights. He was only too happy to oblige, so here’s a few of the most memorable moments in his own words;
> I was chatting to some French dude in the kitchen for around 20 minutes before it clicked he was Busy P.
> Brodinski ate all my fruit! He was rarely seen without an apple in his mouth.
> Seeing Mehdi watch Sinden as he DJed, the two were exchanging tips.
> My neighbours arrived in their nightgowns to complain; “we can hear your party three levels down as loud as it is up here.”
> AC Slater absolutely ripped it up with his set, with over 50 people dancing!
> Gus Da Hoodrat invited everyone to Flinders Bar to kick on, where Uffie got up to perform.
> I think Jack Beats and a few others arrived. I kinda lost track after a while!
> There were 11 bags of empty bottles at the end of the night.
Dominic wasn’t the only one excited about the party, with the DJs also Tweeting before, during and after. “its going down! later on tonight me @brodinski & @ac_slater are Djing in someones front room,” wrote Sinden before they’d arrived. While AC Slater posted an update as it was all going down; “house party looking good. @Brodinski bringing the vibes right now. It’s a Makers Mark night.”
Talk about having the experience of a lifetime! It’ll certainly be something for Dominic to tell the grandkids about… one day. “It was a pretty amazing party, especially for a Tuesday,” Dominic said. “I’ll probably be kicked out as a result, but well worth it!”
Don’t forget Parklife finishes its lap of the country this weekend in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide. Tickets are still onsale so be sure to pick one up before it’s too late. Special thanks must go to Fuzzy for hooking us up with the Parklife artists to play the party, and also to DJ Warehouse for providing the gear. Although it must be said, we don’t think you’ll be getting any Christmas cards from Dominic’s neighbours’ this year.
