Late last week we posted up the 15 national finalists in our inthemix, Godskitchen and Pioneer DJ comp. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with trance fans listening in to all of the mixes intently over the ensuing days. In conjunction with Future Entertainment we’ve now settled on who exactly the five state winners will be, as well as the triumphant national winner who takes out the major prize!
So without any further ado, below you’ll find the full list of winners with links to hear their mixes if you haven’t already given them a spin.
National winner:
15th Sine – Victoria
State winners:
DJ Aztech – New South Wales
Twizted Blue – Victoria
Brooka – Queensland
Joshua Higgins – Western Australia
Matt Spicer – South Australia
Each state winner scores the opening set at Godskitchen in their capital city plus four tickets to the party and a limited edition Pioneer DJ t-shirt. However national winner 15th Sine scoops the pool, winning himself the Pioneer DJ ‘Little Monsta’ setup and – after consultation with Future Entertainment – instead of playing his home city of Melbourne, he’ll now be flown to Sydney this weekend to play Godskitchen at the Hordern Pavilion, Sunday October 3rd. “Thank you to inthemix and Future Entertainment for this killer prize,” said comp winner 15th Sine, clearly a man of few words, before adding… “Trance for life!”
If you’re a bedroom DJ be sure to keep your eyes peeled for further opportunities to get yourself heard on inthemix throughout summer. The DJ comps will undoubtedly be back, and very soon! “Well done to all the contestants and congratulations to the winners,” said Mark James of Future Entertainment on the result. “There were so many fantastic entries for the competition, I was really impressed. It’s great to see trance is alive and well in all states of Australia. I’m really looking forward to hearing the national winner’s set this weekend at Godskitchen in Sydney.”
