Lovers of house music have been gifted a fine-looking event on the first day of 2011. That Party takes over The Point at Albert Park with some seriously big names.

Following on from their spot at Pacha NYE in Sydney, Basement Jaxx is at the top of the bill in DJ mode. It was recently announced that Felix and Simon will be undertaking a digital overhaul of their classic house label Atlantic Jaxx, so you can no doubt expect to hear some early ‘90s gems.

Upping the star factor is the original house don himself Frankie Knuckles and Boston vinyl king Arthur Baker. Melbourne man-about-town Kaz James and further ‘friends’ are also on board.

That Party takes over The Point at Albert Park on New Years Day.
