Canberra punters are in for one hell of a treat this December as the mighty Foreshore festival returns to the nation’s capital to kick off summer in epic style. While we’ve all already gawped at the massive lineup of big DJs and live dance acts on the bill including Tiesto, Calvin Harris, Benny Benassi, Cut Copy and Major Lazer, festival promoters Kicks Entertainment have today announced even more details to make Foreshore 2010 the biggest event yet.

Part one of today’s announcement sees a whole slew of acts join the Foreshore lineup including just revealed international draws Krafty Kuts and A Tribe Called Quest’s Phife D and Ali Shaheed, not to mention the likes of Diafrix, Tim & Jean, Shifty Business and a raft of local heroes such as Karton, D’Opus and Roshambo, Sean Kelly and more. Whew!

If that wasn’t big enough to push you over the edge, today’s press release also confirms that Foreshore 2010 will be upgrading its festival venue, with the grounds expanding to the East and West Lawns in front of Old Parliament House. The move brings with a brand new stage dubbed the Block Party Stage which will play host to the likes of Caspa, Rod Azlan and Koolism.
