As if Vince Watson and Juan Atkins weren’t reason enough to get yourself to Marrickville Bowling Club on Saturday 27 November, HaHa has added extra incentive. Joining the cast at ‘Versus’ is Glaswegian whiz Alex Smoke performing live.

Like his countryman Vince Watson, Smoke is a master of mood and dancefloor dynamics. His two albums on Soma, Incommunicado and Paradolia, stand as examples of how good the techno LP can be, while his most recent effort Lux sees his sound take on new shades. As he told inthemix recently, his ideal club space is up close and personal – so expect a fine showing under the copper ceiling.
