While there are no new recruits for the Boiler Room, the second round of acts for Big Day Out 2011 has a few pickings for ITMers. Detroit hip hop prodigy Black Milk now joins the bill, touring on the back of his new album Tronic. The much-remixed voice of Sia will also be serenading the festival this summer.
Of course, the dance line-up was already looking heavyweight. The Boiler Room is presented by inthemix for the first time in 2011, with The Bloody Beetroots Death Crew 77, Booka Shade and LCD Soundsystem all leading the way. All the special guests planned for next year’s psychedelic-themed Lilyworld have also been added to the bill.
