Just as summer was starting to look fit to burst, a host of new acts have committed to a working holiday down under. This morning, the Playground Weekender festival outside Sydney announced its second line-up, and it should give the rest of the country cause to rejoice too.

If deep, jazzy and jacking house gets you going, you will no doubt be hoping some of these guys come your way in February. The Playground line-up now includes Chicago legend Derrick Carter (who inthemix learned last week has a Fabric volume due in 2011), Innervisions ambassadors Âme and Dixon, all-round renaissance man Ewan Pearson, dancefloor-burning Londoners Mock & Toof and Manchester gun Trus’me.
