After an agonising wait, Stereosonic 2010 has at last arrived in a blaze of pyrotechnics. The first stop was Sydney Showgrounds on Saturday, and the festival’s new digs allowed for plenty of room to roam.

Ecstatic sets in the main arena from Calvin Harris, Sebastian Ingrosso and Tiesto were heightened by smoke, fire and good ‘ol lasers, while elsewhere you could find everything from Major Lazer’s out-of-control rave to the stripped-down hypnotism of Chilean icon Ricardo Villalobos.

So, with seven stages to seek out, the inthemix.tv crew descended on Stereosonic for our biggest assignment yet. As well as capturing the view from the mainstage during the peak moments, we got in amongst the party people at every corner of the festival. In this episode, we also sit down with the stars of the show, Sebastian Ingrosso and Tiesto, to hear why they can’t resist a summer in Australia.
