Deep house hero Henrik Schwarz is returning to our summery climes in January as part of a top-shelf Sydney Festival, and he’s making time for Melbourne too. When he was last here in 2009, Schwarz played Blow Your Own Way’s sixth birthday at Roxanne Parlour – and this time round it’s same party, same venue.

Without a doubt one of the most prodigious producers and remixers of recent years, Schwarz also boasts a winning live laptop show. “I have thousands of little parts in my live set and I don’t know where it’s going when I start,” he told inthemix last year. “I’m jumping from one part to the next. Then when I see the reaction from the audience, I might jump somewhere else. That makes it interesting for me.”
