Relief for Mos Def fans has come in the way of an official statement from Future Entertainment, confirming the rapper will be here in time for the Hot Barbeque event in Point Nepean this weekend. The tour was placed in doubt this week after the cancellation of an already rescheduled appearance in Adelaide, however, this update may be the green light fans have been patiently waiting for.

In the statement, Mos Def himself had to say: “I am confirming that I am booked and ready to head down under.”

A further statement is expected from tour promoters Peace Music confirming the state of the remaining shows. Whilst the saga is not quite over, it’s looking a lot more likely that we will in fact be seeing the man after all.
