Eagle-eyed followers of trance titan Armin Van Buuren will be well aware by now that we’re in for a momentous event in April. To celebrate the milestone 500th edition of his A State of Trance radio show, the reigning DJ is bringing his five-date ASOT500 tour to Sydney. On Saturday 16 April 2011, Sydney’s Acer Arena will be transformed into an epic spectacular overseen by Armin himself (with a three-hour set, no less!) and a host of his closest allies. Naturally, inthemix is proud to present this landmark event.

The dust has only recently settled on Armin Only Mirage NYE, which saw the irrepressible Dutchman journey through nine euphoric hours at Melbourne’s Etihad Stadium. While his guests on that night were there to help recreate his own productions, for ASOT500 he’s calling on DJs and producers with their own stamp on trance. On his most recent A State Of Trance show, Armin revealed the first round of names helping him lead the night: Menno De Jong, Alex M.O.R.P.H., Aly & Fila, Shogun and tyDi. The event is set to be broadcast 100-percent live.

From now until April, inthemix will be keeping you up-to-date with all the ASOT500 developments, and you can be sure it’ll be a party worthy of the occasion. As Armin himself says, “We will celebrate trance in the biggest way possible!”
