With the warm and fuzzy feelings still lingering from Mad Racket’s night at Beck’s Festival Bar with Octave One, the stalwart Sydney crew is set to keep the good times coming.

Mardi Gras night heralds their first party at Marrickville Bowling Club for 2011 (if you don’t count the early hours of New Years Day), with a couple of distinguished guests settling in under the copper ceiling. Returning for his fourth Mad Racket run is Highgrade’s Tom Clark, a true Berliner whose ear for the dancefloor is unfaltering. He’s joined by another of Berlin’s leading tech-house names, Guido Schneider, and of course the Mad Rackeeters.

Ever since Jamie Lidell was announced on the line-up for Victoria’s Golden Plains festival, Sydney fans have been awaiting our date. As ever, Mad Racket has picked up the ‘one man funk tornado’ for a headline show. A virtuoso performer, Lidell is still riding high on last year’s dazzling Compass. He’s sure to bring some serious heat to the Factory Theatre.
