Sadly for many, the Sydney leg of the Dance Aid benefit tour has been cancelled. The mid-week bash was set to kick off at Home tonight, boasting a line-up that included local talents The Aston Shuffle, Bass Kleph, Act Yo Age and more, in a fundraiser that would see all proceeds directed to the flood victims of Queensland.

Poor ticket sales are named as the catalyst that led to the pin being pulled on the event. Organisers released this statement about the cancellation:

“Regretfully we are announcing the cancellation of the danceAID+ Sydney event, scheduled to take place at Home on February 9th. Unfortunately, ticket sales did not reach the level anticipated and after much deliberation management behind the project have decided that this show will not be going ahead.”
