Last week we were happy to report that one of dance music’s true originals Danny Howells has Australia in his sights for April. The tour coincides with the release of Phase One, the first entry in a compilation series for the DJ’s Dig Deeper label. You can be sure his bag will be packed with classics, obscure gems and unreleased edits.
In Sydney Howells is set to headline the next edition in Chinese Laundry’s much-talked-about Garden Party series. His self-coined ‘deepsexyfuturistictechfunkhouse’ is sure to work perfectly in the open air as he stretches out across a four-hour set. Also on the line-up is Laundry regular PQM plus seasoned locals Jeff Drake and Jamie Mattimore. Sounds like another sell-out in the works.
The Danny Howells Garden Party happens at Chinese Laundry from 2pm till 10pm on Saturday 9 April. Tickets go on sale 9am Monday 28 February through inthemix – check the What’s On listing on the day for the ‘Buy Tickets’ link.
This lush little number from Danny Howells in 2010 should set the mood…
