With Future Music Festival fever currently circling the country, inthemix has been planning an intimate sideshow of our own. You’ll remember the deal we proposed in the Future Music Festival house party competition: you provide the pad and the guest-list, we provide the sound system and decks and one of the tour’s leading DJs.

Well, after a flood of entries, we’ve found our winner. On Friday 11 March, Mark from Sydney will be welcoming trance superstars Cosmic Gate into his backyard.

“I seriously can’t wait; I’ve never found a more fitting reason to break a detox in my life,” enthuses the lucky host. “Nic and Bossi by far produce the most uplifting and driving music of anyone on the line-up. My favourite artists by a long way.

“I can’t wait to see the look on the faces of our neighbours and the police when they see 30 people going off to Cosmic Gate in a backyard in a quiet neighbourhood.”
