If you’re honing your production skills and want to get some expert advice on your work, you’d do well to get along to Tone in Surry Hills next Friday 18 March. The CDR Producer Sessions from 7 till 9pm is looking to unearth local up-and-coming studio guns whose sound falls under the house, tech-house, techno and minimal umbrella.

The session is overseen by Pinksilver Music, “a global label of rising & established artists based in Melbourne”. The collective’s bosses will be on hand to offer feedback, with the chance to have your tracks released on Pinksilver’s net label arm in the future. Producers should send a download link for their track to renae@pinksilver.net.

After 9pm, Pinksilver will present its first Sydney party, headlined by Sydneysider-in-Berlin Michelle Owen. The accomplished producer has made her name with releases on the likes of Dirt Crew Recordings and Mood Music, as well as Pinksilver. Also playing at Michelle’s homecoming are special guest YoKoO, Pinksilver bosses H Four & DJ Trinity, plus Dave Stuart.
