With Saturday boasting the best Sydney weather you could hope for, the revellers turned out in force for Future Music Festival at Randwick Racecourse. Sold-out in 2011, the multi-stage party was every bit as immense as expected.

The Future Music and Mazda2Flamingo stages heaved from start to finish, with Pendulum starting a riot over their no-holds-barred hour and The Chemical Brothers sending things out on an eye-popping high. At the other end of the Racecourse, Sander Van Doorn’s three-hour set in the Dusk Till Doorn arena was a dream run for trance fans, before Cosmic Gate stepped up to bring it home. Two dazzling live shows – Leftfield and Plastikman – loomed large in The Likes Of You tent, and there was something for all dance music persuasions around the grounds.

As ever, inthemix’s star photographers were roaming the grounds to capture all the action in the crowd and on-stage. Check out both the photo galleries below.

For one lucky ITMer in Sydney, Future Music Festival started on Friday night with a house party graced by Cosmic Gate. The photos from the living room rave-up are below, so you can experience vicariously what it’s like to have Nic and Bossi playing at your house…
