Last Friday night in a quiet Sydney street, a pair of international DJs rolled up for the ultimate suburban house party. Having won the honour of hosting Cosmic Gate in his apartment, Mark and his friends proceeded to show their German guests some Australian hospitality. We bailed up Mark on a surely-painful Monday morning to spill the beans on what went down.

“It was an incredible night,” Mark told us emphatically. “As soon as it hit about 8:45 though a wave of people arrived and five minutes later so did Cosmic Gate. Those guys were awesome, mingling and drinking with us for a while before they jumped on the decks.

“As soon as they did, the place turned upside down. They played all their best tracks and were received really well by everyone there. Our place was like a mini-festival. People were dancing on tables, and others were crowd-surfing through the living room. It was pumping so hard that people that live a couple of blocks away were coming down to party.”

“Nic and Bossi told me many times how much fun they were having, and so did ever single person at the party. Not so much the cops though when they turned up en masse to shut it down. One police officer said to me, ‘You can’t begin to understand the sort of noise complaints that we have been receiving about this place!’”

“All in all, it was a massive success,” he said. “I think the quality of the party is summed up by the fact that we now have shoe-prints on our ceiling. Thanks so much to all you guys from Future and inthemix.”
