With dance festivals continuing to boom in Australia it’s rare that we don’t get all the top dance acts playing out here at least once every couple of years. But one act (well, there’s also Depeche Mode but who’s bitter?) to continually evade Australian turf is Norwegian electronic maestros Röyksopp. Well, it looks like the wait might just be over now.
The word comes from the group themselves who were speaking to Dazed recently about the year ahead for Röyksopp casually dropping the bomb that they hope to “visit the Aussies in autumn” in between North American and European tour dates.
We’ll have to assume that the ‘autumn’ that Röyksopp referred to would be their autumn and therefore our spring season, which seems like a good a time of the year as any for fans to finally get the full on Röyksopp experience – including their intensely well received 2010 LP Senior. Let the Splendour / Parklife speculation begin! OMFG.
