Having earned their stripes as one of breakbeat’s finest outfits, Stanton Warriors are finally unleashing their debut artist album The Warriors this month. To celebrate, inthemix is giving you the chance to show off your production skills and win an Australian single release.

Having remixed everyone from the Chemical Brothers to The Streets (hell, they even remixed The Black Eyed Peas ), Dom Butler and Mark Yardley appreciate the art of the remix and have kindly offered their latest single Get Up to the inthemix community for some studio treatment.

So what would the Stantons look for in a winning remix? “I know it’s a clichéd answer, but originality,” Butler told inthemix last week from London. “In any kind of genre, there’s a lot of samey stuff. I just like to hear something exciting and new; whether it’s a fresh beat, interesting bassline or exciting sample added in there.”

The winning mix will be released in Australia through Central Station Records as part of the Get Up remix package, with the winner also taking home $500 cash and a bevy of production gear from DJ Warehouse and Central Station Records.
