Despite a torrent of lineup leaks yesterday the full program for the 2011 Vivid LIVE festival has today been released, adding a whole bunch of new acts and details for series of shows curated by Modular boss Steve Pavlovic.

As well as off the wall draw-cards like US rap squad Odd Future, Aphex Twin and Bjork-backed visual genius Chris Cunningham, Yo Gabba Gabba! and Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, the program has a distinct dance feel befitting its Modular lineage with Azari & III, 2manydjs, Horse Meat Disco and Gavin Russom’s expansive The Crystal Ark project all lined up.

In the move everyone saw coming there’s also a slew of Modular acts booked including Architecture In Helsinki, Cut Copy, Tame Impala, Dom, Van She, Bag Raiders, Canyons, Beni, Softwar and The Swiss. Was Muscles busy? We kid!

Vivid also sees the return of ITM legends The Avalanches to the public stage (albeit in DJ mode for Club Modular) and Spiritualized performing their seminal Ladies and Gentlemen, We Are Floating In Space LP in full. You’ll also be pleased to hear that 2manydjs will be doing Radio Soulwax from Sydney’s Opera House and broadcast on triple j each and every day. That’s good news as our wallets were already going into cardiac arrest.
