$10,000 worth of Creamfields tickets to be won on inthemix – GO!

If it wasn’t awesome enough that next weekend is five days long, it’s also the kick-off of the 2011 Creamfields tour. The festivities begin in Adelaide on Friday 22 April at the Planet Cream stadium show, before rolling on to Perth and Melbourne with all engines firing.

Whether you’re most hyped for Deadmau5 and his explosive live show, the rabble-rousing antics of Skrillex, a techno masterclass from Kevin Saunderson and Derrick May, ticking off the anthems with Gabriel & Dresden or another of the line-up’s stars, it’s going to be a big tour.

To make sure you’ve got all bases covered, here’s some housekeeping from Creamfields HQ. First up, the merchandise is out. You can equip yourself with a handy stubbie holder or really show your fandom by rocking a Creamfields tour tee.

If you’re heading to the Melbourne event on Monday 25 April, reward yourself with a sleep-in, as gates open at 1pm. You’ll also be toasty and dry. “We have pre-planned for crappy Melbourne weather,” reads the statement. “Take solace in the fact that in Melbourne, all Creamfields stages will be undercover, and in other cities most will be indoors. Ponchos will also be available for sale at all shows.”

If you want in on the festival action, inthemix has just the ticket. In fact, we’ve got $10,000 worth of tickets. The inthemix mobile site is the best way to keep on top of the all the Creamfields updates, and it’s also your fast-track to getting in on the ticket haul!

In sideshow news, Skrillex has swiftly sold out his club shows in Sydney and Melbourne. If you’ve got a ticket, prepare to shed some sweat.

High-flying Frenchman Martin Solveig is certain to go down a storm on the tour, showcasing songs from his fifth album SMASH. Third single Turn Up The Radio will be performed live at the shows with vocalist Sunday Girl.

Solveig will also be touring with his fictional manager LaFaille, who’ll be familiar to anyone who has followed the SMASH video series. “I’m bringing my video team with me, so we’re going to shoot SMASH episode five in Australia,” the DJ told inthemix. Who knows, you might make a cameo…
