Despite the divisive move to go in a more classical direction on 2010’s Tron Legacy soundtrack, the love for Daft Punk continues to run full strength here on inthemix with ITMers voting the duo of French robots as the #1 most wanted tour of 2011.

As a part of our weekly poll series on inthemix, we tasked site users to choose which artist they were most desperate to see in 2011 from a list of nominees – both possible and unlikely to tour, and we’ll let you decide which camp Daft Punk fall into – including Swedish House Mafia, Magnetic Man, Paul Van Dyk and more. While there was some stiff competition within the 700+ votes, nothing could stop Daft Punk from taking the top spot.

As it turns out one of the other acts on the shortlist, Above & Beyond, just announced details of an Australian tour later this year, so that gives us a glimmer of hope that some of the other artists in ITMers’ tour prayers will make the journey down under soon enough. Considering Daft Punk’s current radio silence hope will be all we’ve got.
