Irish electro belters The Japanese Popstars have been shooting for the stars ever since their LP debut with We Just Are in 2008. As well as remixing everyone from Depeche Mode to Gorillaz, the trio have been tinkering away on their new album opus, Controlling Your Allegiance, hooking up with everyone from Green Velvet, Jon Spencer and Robert Smith of The Cure for some twisted dancefloor bombs.
With Controlling Your Allegiance set to finally bow on stereos and the handheld device of your choice on June 17th, ITM’s label buddies EMI hooked us up with a world exclusive mix from the group which you can now wrap your ears around below.
As well as collecting some of their more recent remix work for the likes of Daft Punk and Benny Benassi the mixtape workout features a bunch of fresh cuts from Controlling Your Allegiance including newie single Joshua.
