Last seen adding some hefty trance weight to 2010’s Stereosonic lineup, Dutch DJ/producer star Sied van Riel is racking up some more frequent flyer points with a return to Australia now scheduled for June.

Brought to us once again by Stereo heavies Totem and Hardware, van Riel’s Australian engagement will see the ‘Riel Deal’ hit up Sydney, Melbourne and the Gold Coast over the June long weekend stretch.

The tour coincides with the release (rielease?) of the trance gun’s latest compilation package Rielism, out through Black Hole Recordings. The comp finds Riel mixing it up with the scene’s best with tracks from Arty, BT and Richard Durand front and centre.

“With Rielism I want to get across what kind of sounds and range I’m standing for
Now,” van Riel explains of the new record. “In what I guess is a short space of time, there has been a tangible change in what I’m about musically. Compared to my previous releases, it’s something new and quite contrasting.”
