Having already achieved a few career high-points in 2011, Canberra’s celebrated export Jaytech is flying home in late June. The DJ and producer has four club dates locked in so far, so fans should start blocking out their diaries.
Jaytech’s rise to international fame was only a matter of time. As the well-known back-story goes, he was hand-picked by UK trance leaders Above & Beyond for their Anjunadeep label, which has grown into a bastion for melodic, progressive-leaning house. The Anjunadeep:03 compilation from earlier this year got an ecstatic wrap from our reviewer, with Jaytech’s disc two finding him in stellar form.
A consummate warm-up DJ when the occasion calls for it, Jaytech regularly sets the mood for Above & Beyond on tour. After his Australian visit, he’ll be straight back to Europe for a few little events you might have heard of: Tomorrowland, Dance Valley and South West Four. Don’t pass up the chance to see him do his thing in intimate surrounds.
Jaytech tour dates so far; check back for updates:
Saturday 25 June – Syrup, Hobart
Saturday 2 July – Interview, Melbourne [venue TBA]
Saturday 9 July – Chinese Laundry, Sydney
Saturday 16 July – The Met, Brisbane
