Looks like the 8 million mark is going to come sooner than we thought. We’re currently at 7,996,131 posts which means there’s only 3,869 to go. Keep it up and we should have a winner by tomorrow morning…

For the past 11 years (woah!), the inthemix forums have pumping blood through the veins of this very site, with ITM users jumping on the boards to discuss, dissect and of course debate anything and everything about the local and international dance scene.

So clearly there’s a lot of love in there – and even a few forum-spawned offspring! And we want to show you some extra love on top of that! With the forums continuing to grow every second of every day, we’re pleased to announce that ITM is now home to more than 250,000 individual threads penned by over 200,000 site members and that we are achingly close to hitting a whopping 8,000,000 (that’s 8 million if you lost count of all the zeros!) posts.

Because we all love a party – would we be here if we didn’t? – ITM is celebrating this milestone in typically epic style; we’re going to award the author of the monumental 8 millionth post a double pass to 8 inthemix presented events of their choice (*subject to availability, our lawyers insist*). A fitting reward for such a big occasion.

We’re expecting to hit the big 8 million mark in the next week so the only way to keep yourself in the running for the goodies is if you stay active in the forums. So jump into the forums and get posting!
