The Queen’s Birthday long weekend is set to be a big one at Melbourne’s Alumbra, with a couple of parties to tide you through the winter chill.

On Monday 13 June, Carl Cox will settle in at Alumbra with his regular compadre Eric Powell. Instead of a heads-down techno session, though, the pair will be digging deep all day long for their ‘Mobile Disco’. Expect jazz, funk, classic house, disco and soul, with the party stretching from 1pm till 11pm, with a well-placed BBQ to power you along.

House heads will also be down for the other long weekend party on Saturday 11 June, featuring Chicago veteran Ron Carroll. Carroll will perform a live/PA DJ set, layering his own vocals over a suite of feel-good anthems.
