You’d think that the arrival of Sash! in Australia later this month would be enough to sate the appetite for big-grinning ‘90s dance music around here but now things have been kicked into overdrive with the news that old school Euro-dance cheeseballs The Vengaboys are hitting Australia this summer. Can you believe it?

Yes indeed, as spotted on the Time Out Sydney website (the listing has since been removed), The Vengaboys are set to bring all the hits we shamefully know by heart like Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!, We’re Going To Ibiza and We Like To Party to Australian turf over summer, with a gig listed in Sydney on January 13th.

Of course you’d be forgiven for raising a brow or two at the news that The Vengaboys are still around let alone touring internationally but as a quick Google search will reveal the boys and girls of The Vengaboys reunited after a few years hiatus and a personnel change and have actually been releasing new material including the gloriously titled Rocket To Uranus. Eat your fart out, good taste!
