Last year Newcastle’s fledgling Fat As Butter festival kicked things into high gear with an impressive lineup of locals like Muscles, Sneaky Sound System and Tame Impala mixing it up with big internationals like Ice Cube and Ian Carey.

The festival’s back once again in 2011 with Fat As Butter hitting Camp Shortland at The Foreshore on Saturday October 22nd for another outing and today festival promoters have leaked the first two acts to appear on the bill with US party rap veterans Naughty By Nature going up against grizzled Aus-rock dudes The Living End.

The festival date will mark Naughty By Nature’s second trip to Australia in 2011 after a club visit earlier this year and we definitely reckon they’re at their best when dropping the good-time anthems to a sea of smiling punters at an outdoor festival.
