Monday 18 July will go down as a big day on inthemix, with voting opening on the newly-evolved inthemix awards. Over 10,000 votes were cast in the first day by Australia’s dance music fanatics. The centrepiece of the awards remains the top 50 DJs poll, which is sure to be more hotly-contested than ever in 2011. There are categories for Best Club Night, Best Festival and Best Track as well, alongside the new entries of Best Festival Moment and Best Live Act.
If you haven’t yet had a chance to vote, now’s the time to join in on the momentum. As ever, DJs and promoters have kicked their strategies into high gear to remind you why they’re #1 in the game, while international heavyweights like Armin van Buuren are also corralling their followers to get involved.
