Not so long ago inthemix announced that drum & bass don Goldie was heading down under in Spring, with a stop at Chinese Laundry in Sydney. Well, now it turns out that the roll-out will be in the open air, with the club opening its courtyard for another mega Garden Party. The MetalHeadz boss will take over the Garden with top-shelf local support from Reload, Rollers Music and King Lee.

The reason for this tour is Goldie’s firing FabricLive edition, which he describes with characteristic zeal. “This music – this wildstyle music – is not for the faint-hearted,” he says in the press notes. “I tried to get the alchemy right, which I’ve done on this mix: each of these are standalone tunes. It is dynamic, it does take you from one extreme to the other, because for me that’s what my life is like.

“It’ll be bikram yoga one morning, then DJing long into the night. Everything is balanced, not too much of one thing. When I think of the D&B tunes on this mix, I think of them as spiritual euphoria, like I’ve been lifted out of something.”
