According to a tweet by triple j mornings, the mighty Portishead is fitting in two headline shows around its Harvest festival duties this November. For all you fans in Adelaide and Perth who thought you were missing out, it’s time to rejoice. The iconic band’s first tour in 13 years will visit two fitting venues: Thebarton Theatre in Adelaide and the Belvoir Amphitheatre in Perth.

Portishead is currently in the thick of the European festival circuit, earning enraptured reviews wherever they go. Our EXIT Festival reporter wrote of their set: “Portishead belong in a category of their own because they are so damn brilliant; hearing the highlights of Dummy under warm summer skies is an experience like no other and for her part, Beth Gibbons seems genuinely thankful to be there. They execute their sound perfectly and recreate the trip-hop mood so convincingly that it may be 1994 all over again.”
