Five talented finalists were chosen in the Defqon.1 Drop Your Own Area competition, but only one could be the winner. This week, the finalists presented their plans to Q-dance, and one project was chosen to be brought to life as the WHITE Area at Defqon.1 Australia 2011. That winner is Shallow Nation, whose design you can take a good look at here.

As Q-dance explains: “Shallow Nation is planning to transform the WHITE area into a Hard Industrial Dance Stage. This will feature Australia’s top industrial dance DJs playing tracks from artists such as Grendel, Nachtmahr, Faderhead, Combichrist and Noisuf-x. With the hard industrial dance scene always being closely related to the rave scene, it will bring a darker flavour to Defqon.1, something different for a crowd who loves to go hard!”
