With spring about to arrive, it won’t be long before we’re sweating it out across another long, hazy Sydney summer. One festival that feels the heat is the Wiseman’s Ferry getaway Playground Weekender, as anyone who’s donned a full-body Spiderman suit for fancy dress day will know too well.

Well, in 2012 the festival is moving to the potentially cooler climes of early Autumn. Thursday 1 to Sunday 4 March are the dates for the diary. “We decided to change the dates to March as it is a wee bit cooler but still hot instead of potentially roasting like the previous few years,” writes Weekender HQ. As for the line-up, we’re told to expect it in the “VERY near future”. Time to get your guessing hats on.
