For over a decade now, Boxing Day in Perth has belonged to Breakfest. Staged in the unique setting of the Belvoir Amphitheatre, the boutique festival is the work of Perth’s premier party crew Boomtick. Last year’s edition was the big 10th birthday celebrations, with a star-studded line-up to match, but they’re not willing to rest on their laurels this time round.

The first stack of names has just been announced for Breakfest 2011, led by those bass kings the Stanton Warriors, who’ll be accompanied by Hollywood Holt on the mic. “He’s a fucking amazing performer,” one half of the Warriors Dom Butler enthused to us in April. “The guy breakdances, spins on his head, he’s a comedian, he’s just got intense presence.”

Also on board is seasoned deck-hand A Skillz, UK turntable leaders the Scratch Perverts, drum & bass whirlwind Netsky and plenty more. Time to lock in your Boxing Day plans.
