Local hero Katalyst has just released his third album Deep Impressions, and he’ll be taking it on the road from this weekend. The Sydney beatmaker is kicking things off in his hometown before journeying on to the Fat As Butter festival and a selection of headline shows – with inthemix riding shotgun.

Deep Impressions is already generating serious heat from tastemakers for its weave of hip hop, R&B, blues and other sounds with soul. With a wealth of experience on the board, this could be Katalyst’s defining record so far. His expertise should come as no surprise to anyone who has followed his career or the buzz last year from his Space Invadas project alongside Steve Spacek.
