If techno is your tipple, December heralds a visit from one of Germany’s finest proponents Marcel Fengler. Picking up from where his fellow Berghain figureheads Marcel Dettmann and Ben Klock leave off in October, Fengler will kick-start our summer with a dose of heavy groove.
The tour sees Fengler showcasing his new mix Berghain 05, which condenses his club instincts into a solidly-built 19 tracks. With a couple of his own productions weaved amongst the appearances from Peter van Hoesen, Claude Young, Ben Sims, Skudge and other late-night go-to-guys, it’s the kind of mix that wants to lead you to a heaving dancefloor. That’s exactly what we can look forward to when Fengler flees the Berlin winter for a heavyweight weekend in Australia.
