Katy B – the softer, prettier and ‘poppier’ face of the Parklife dubstep invasion – has been forced to pull out of the remaining festival dates in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide this weekend due to “personal reasons”.
The timetables will be slightly re-jigged for the Sahara stage where Katy B was scheduled to perform and sadly Magnetic Man will probably have to drop Perfect Stranger from their set list as well. Bummer!
Statement from Katy B and Parklife:
“It is with great regret that, due to personal reasons Katy B has had to pull out of the remainder of the Parklife 2011 national tour and fly back to London immediately. Katy absolutely loved playing Parklife Melbourne and Perth over the weekend and was touched by the fantastic support shown to her on these two performances, her first in Australia. She is extremely sad to leave the tour and wishes Example, Magnetic Man, Nero, Gossip, Santigold and all the other incredible acts she was appearing alongside, all the best for the shows in Brisbane, Sydney and Adelaide this coming weekend. Lastly, Katy B wishes to apologise to all of her Australian fans and promises she will be back very soon.”
