The wait to hear about Fuzzy’s big plans for Field Day 2012 is finally over! As ever it’s an eclectic affair and crosses over with the Summafieldayze bill, but there are a few extra cards up Field Day’s sleeve to grab your attention and hard earned. So who will you be partying with in the Domain on the first day of 2012?

Well how about Justice revealing their their new live show for the first time anywhere in the world? Plus Crystal Castles, Moby, Gotye and a whole lot more? Not too shabby, huh?

every single fucking festival announcement there are always people who whinge and whine about how shit the lineup is.

seriously what else did you expect with the amount of saturation these days

in this summer alone there is:
stereosonic
Subsonic music festival
shorething/summadayze
good vibes
future
the other ones i dont know about which arent predominantly EDM

yea this lineup is a bit recycled from previous years but in the increasingly competitive market its a bit hard to get acts which havent already been here.

if you dont have anything nice to say dont say anything at all. there will never a festival where none of the acts have been here in the last 3 years??

Loved the Justice DJ set at the beginning of this year but even more excited about being able to be the first in the world to see their new live show!!! Very excited about that.
Oh and Crystal Castles, Jack Beats live and Metronomy... wooohoooo!

trancekid is right. Australia is at saturation point with festivals now. Gotta remember the big festival are also touring agents, so they have a roster of interantional acts that are signed to them. hence why theres always recycling, they are contracted to appear every few years.
however... what seems the issue with fuzzy these days, is that they don't seem to be adding anyone new to their roster of artists. At least Future Ent seem to pick up new acts along with their roster of artists.
Festivals need their big regular acts. its a business. the flipside is that saturation become stale eventually

recycled and small lineup but there are still there are good acts like foreign beggars and 12 planet and the recycled acts such jack beats, busy p skream & benga but after last years dj set by justice they cant make a more disappointing set (in relation to their parklife 07 gig) so hopefully their set is doozy

NOT TRUE! fuzzy have literally just toured MAGNETIC MAN // LYKKE LI // NERO // EXAMPLE // FLUX PAVILION // DFA 1979 // ADRIAN LUX // FEED ME // JOKER // LITTLE DRAGON // SEBASTIAN TELLIER on Parklife - none of whom have played for fuzzy before and most of them have never played in Australia. Fuzzy are one of the few festival organisers bringing fresh talent to the masses rather than relying on a bunch of heritage acts.
