The Playground Weekender 2012 line-up will be unveiled on this week – on Thursday 10 November to be precise – so it’s time to start thinking of costume ideas again.
Seventies disco legends Chic, led by founding member Nile Rodgers, confirmed last week that they’ll be bringing the Good Times to the festival. And this morning an overexcited press release for the Neon Indian tour revealed that Alan Palomo will also be showing off his chillwave sounds at the festival.
As for the rest of the line-up, we’ll have to wait until Thursday, or another leak, but with Roots Manuva, Erkayh Badu and Cut Chemist all with Australian tour dates very close to the Playground Weekender weekend we’re hoping for something special.
The best-dressed festival on the summer calendar has shifted from February to March, but will still be held at the Del Rio Resort, Wisemans Ferry.
