If ever there was a DJ to suit the atmosphere of ivy on New Year’s Eve, it’d have to be Erick Morillo. The Subliminal Records boss and Ibiza high-flyer has been secured to bring in 2012 at the decked-out complex, alongside Playboy’s #1 man Dimitri From Paris and house anthem-maker Ian Carey.

Locals are still to be announced and tickets go on sale Thursday 29 September – ivy’s last three NYE parties sold out, so you better be quick.

We got on the phone to Morillo earlier this week before he hopped a plane to South America, and he had plenty of good things to say about playing in Australia. “It’s going to be quality: good energy, good vibes, very sexy and throbbing,” he said of his game plan. “I’m there to make the people ecstatic. I’ll be bringing a lot of records that are basically going to be future hits.”
