UK party agents the Plump DJs know a thing or two about filling Australian dancefloors, and they’ll be back at the peak of summer for a club tour. The bass-lovers keep on hitting it in the studio, with latest release Gobstopper coming with that distinctive Plumps bounce. It’s the duo’s eighth release on their Grand Hotel Records label, and it’s already getting regular canings on the international circuit. We doubt the fans out there need an update on how these vets handle themselves in the booth, so make sure you’re front-and-centre when they hit your city.

Thursday January 19: Apple Bar, Adelaide
Friday January 20: Oh Hello! Brisbane

Ok, just got back from seeing the Plump DJ's at Apple...

Some background, I'm 37, I've been going out for over 20 years to see bands and DJ's, I've seen everyone from Fear Factory to Primus to Carl Cox, Derrick May, The Chemical Brothers... I LOVE MUSIC!!! All kinds of music. I used to go to the Synagogue to see bands, the venue is awesome and holds some really great memories for me.

Apple is like a turd in the punch bowl, if you can't remember what your high school formal was like, head down to Apple and you'll soon be reminded. Granted they've done some great work with the interior but that's where it ends. If my favorite band/DJ were playing there tomorrow I wouldn't go! I met ONE other person that even knew who the Plump DJ's were!! The rest of the crowd was too busy pashing or spilling their drink, to say the floor is sticky is a total understatement!!

This review is for people who love music not for try hard wankers and slappers that want to know where to go to be seen. If you love music do not go to this place!!! The Plump DJ's are a great act, it was the first stop in their Oz tour and they played for 1.5 hours WTF!!!!???? The crowd could have been listening to goats having sex, they wouldn't have cared, it was a really, really, sad show. Whoever booked the Plump DJ's for Apple should be fired... from a cannon into the sun! And if you're reading this congratulations on your abortion that was the Plump DJ's at Apple.... I'm heading to Melbourne next Friday to see them do a 3 hour set at Brown Alley but I feel really sorry for the one other person tonight that came and braved the wankers and slappers for a 1.5 set.
