It’s been a whirlwind year for Melbourne-based touring agency Novel, and yesterday they dropped some big news for the summer ahead. “We are proud to announce John Digweed tour in Feb 2012,” reads the short-but-sweet announcement. “Stay tuned to further details next week!”
The last time we saw the UK veteran in these parts was in 2010 as part of the Future Music Festival tour, where he went about his business with the usual finesse. Since then he’s kept his Bedrock empire bubbling, with the recent announcement that the legendary Bedrock club night will be returning to London every month. When he’s not in transit or in front of elated crowds, the DJ keeps his followers on the ball with the Transitions radio show. We don’t need to tell you about his mastery of club sets, so this 2012 tour comes as very fine news indeed.
We can now tick Digweed off our ‘Wish They Were Here’ list from back in October, along with Modeselektor, Rustie, Knife Party and Hudson Mohawke.
