Imagine you’re Armin van Buuren: you’ve conquered trance, you’re at the helm of a successful radio show and you even have a trip in outer space scheduled. What is there left to do?

It seems the logical final frontier for the hero of Stereosonic was to provide the voice for one of the Muppets in the upcoming Disney movie (that’s the Dutch version, of course). Amazing.

As devoted fans may already be aware, Armin told triple j during his recent trip here that he was voicing the role of Scooter in the new movie. “My publisher came to my house and said ‘is there anything you have left to wish?’,” Armin recounted. “I said, ‘Yes, I do have one more wish. I’d really like to voice cartoons or movies’. We shook on it and ever since then I’ve been non-stop narrating voices for movies. I crack myself up doing strange voices.”

Apparently triple j also offered up a recording booth for Armin to record one of the dubs for the movie he’d missed while in Australia. The true Armin fans will have to track down a Dutch version to hear their hero as Scooter – but who knows, maybe next stop Hollywood?
