Fresh from his New Year’s double-header at Shore Thing and Field Day, dance hitmaker Calvin Harris is sticking around for more. This Saturday 7 January, the DJ will step up at Sydney’s Fake Club for a rare close-quarters set. You can follow the What’s On link below for tickets – and don’t expect them to hang around for long.
2011 saw Calvin Harris on a golden streak in the studio, delivering club-geared records like Awooga, Feels So Close and Kelis collab Bounce. However, his biggest success story by far was the hook-up with pop starlet Rihanna on the arena-sized We Found Love.
As for his new life as a DJ, the high-flying Scot seems to be having a ball. “Playing the right record at the right time is a pretty difficult act – not many people can do it,” he told inthemix a few months back. “That’s the most important thing: to drop the perfect tune at the right point. You know when you’ve done it. And it’s amazing.”
